ok so whenever i press the brake pedel about half way down it makes a loud cracking crunching sound and i can feel it too its really annoying what is that?

and also when i push the break pedel down it only starts to brake about halfway down.. is there anyway i can make it so it starts braking when the pedel is higher cuz it brakes when the pedel is so low..

Inspect the brake pedal. Anything loose up there? Any fluid leaking? Is the brake fluid low in the reservoir?
