Wheel Vibration on Highway
Hello,
Newbie here. I've read the threads on the topic and I don't think most of the suggestions are not the problem. The steering wheel vibrates at speeds over 65. The tires are balanced and have been rotated with the same outcome with the swaps. The wheels have been lifted and checked for slop and no signs there. I've done the cv's and shocks all around. Braking is smooth, so no warps. The bearings may be possible, but I don't notice anything that makes them suspect. I suppose I can do them but I'd hate to do this and find the problem persisted. Any suggestions?

I had this same problem in the past and took my car to two different shops. It took them three tries before they got the balance right. Take it back to the shop that did the wheel balances and asked them to balance them again and also to check whether their machine is calibrated.
Please note that I swapped the wheels front to back and the result was the same. It is unlikely that the problem is a poor balance. As I said, the other suspects are the BJ and bearings but I'd like to eliminate any other possibility. Rather spend time on other projects than doing something that won't solve the problem
This logic works only if the front wheels were unbalanced. When I had my problem, I also swapped front to back without solving the problem. It was not until the wheels were balanced correctly that wheel vibration was gone. You want to eliminate this possibility as it is the overwhelming cause of this type of problem.
