Code is R-81 for Milano Red. They came stock in Japan, Australia, and most of Europe including the UK. Pretty much everywhere but in north america.

 

the US always get the short straw. i mean, even the CDN type Rs had those beautiful red rear recaros

I remember seeing a set of red stitched seats in a canadian R but they looked just like usdm R seats. They weren't Recaro.

 

No, but Recaro made the proprietary center jersey/tweed fabric and supplied it to Honda

Yes, The ITR's in Japan that were red, were Milano red.

Some Microsoft guys contacted me and needed a stock ITR for a photoshoot. At the time the registry was brand new and there wasn't any others in the NW. 2 other ITR's were used. 1 for the stock dyno for the sound and etc, and the other for the modified engine sounds. Those guys had a bad *** job of shooting sick cars. The car after mine was a Saleen S7.
