Default Keyless Entry Module Location

Gents:

It's been a good 8 years since I've been in the dash of a civic, and for the life of me I can't recall where the OEM keyless brain is located.

I just picked the wife up a 2001 Civic LX, and it seemingly doesn't have keyless. I bought a key fob off of Ebay, but the programming won't take. I've since learned that the LX models didn't come standard with keyless, but I'd like to see if the module is present to determine if the key fob is defective.

Thanks for your input, and I look forward to contributing to the forums as often as possible.

Here's the instructions from handa-accessories. Should be able to figure out if you have it from this:

I spend a lot of time in the BMW forums, and you guys are much faster with responses. Thanks!
