As the title says i have a 95 civic dx 5 spd and just recently put it back on the road after sitting for quite sometime. I drove it for two days then i parked it last night for about 4 hrs. got in and it would crank but not fire until i kept cranking on it and pumping the gas.

so i get it home. park it for the night. Wake up the this morning and boom crank but no fire.

i checked the plug wires and i have spark

i sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body and it fired.

i hear the fuel pump kick on

what now?

after about 5 min of trying to crank it started but rough cutoff once then started. now it starts fine but im sure it i let it sit for a few hrs it will not start again. im confused to say the least

Any CEL codes?

You may want to measure the fuel pressure and replace the fuel filter.

 

no cel codes. i just went and picked up a new fuel filter as i do not recall ever replacing it. I hope this is the fix. i'll let you know
