its a obd0 b18a distributor. so the car was acting funny at low rpms like it had something to do with ignition. so i pulled the distributor and found this little gear and the sensor for it are all corroded. can the gear be taken off? and what does this gear and sensor do? i just wana clean it all and see if it helps. heres some pics.
