Default Question On Stage 1 Skunk2 Ver. 3 Cams

Ok so I went to a shop and they told me in order to put stage 1's i need new valve springs, but i thought stage 1's you can just bolt right on to your stock valve train? any help on this? I need opinions and advice because it sounds like bull to me, that's the first time i have heard that the last i remember stage 1's can just bolt right on to your stock head.

Like what nahonda04 said, you don't need valvetrain with stage1 cams, I say it's b/s.

stg1 cams are great for spirited driving, I would compare the specs for the ITR vs the skunk2 cams and see where the gains are. Putting in TSX cams are good as well, not sure the year, would have to research that one.

don't bother with the stage ones.. you don't get a lot more gain compare to ITR cams.. may as well save a bit more $$ go with stage II (that's what i did), then again since the engine head is out you may as well change the valvetrain.. you won't notice too much power gain on the Stage 1s.
