PLEASE HELP!!!! I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX w/150,000miles, and recently experienced problems while driving on the hi-way when the rpm gauge reaches 3,000. rpm gauge doesn't pass 3,000. It seems to lose power, and doesn't want to accelerate any further. Even while flooring the accelerator I cannot gain speed easily. I have no problems with local driving around 30-40mph. My transmission was replaced by Honda 3yrs ago because there was a recall on my vehicle. Here is a list of things I need to do but haven't yet:

Check Engine Code: P1149-SI 02 Sensor
Check Engine Code: P1457 Evap System Leak
-I haven't changed the timing belt/water pump yet [/B]

Would the above be causing the problem or could it be something else? Any advice would be appreciated!!!!!!!

 

The car is in limp mode. You'll need to correct the issues causing the codes. So in a way, yes the codes are causing the issue.
