Outlaw shootout in the middle?
So there's an outlaw shootout on the east coast and west coast every year. How about one in the middle of the country? I know there are several racers in the midwest and south. Would you all be interested? There are several track options: Tulsa, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, San Antonio.
man the is outlaw thing is getting thrown around too much. if its outlaw make sure its worthy of carrying the name! cliff can pull it off the first time!
i'm not saying we'll do an outlaw shootout, but for these organizers who are pigging backing onto other events, perhaps in the middle would be a better choice than west next year as I think there are more racers in the middle of the country?

You already have an event
This needs to happen, Piggy back an outlaw event off an IFO in the middle. The event will have a potential to be very big because everyone can race !! whatever you drive can fit in an IFO class somewhere and the outlaw guys can be the main attraction. Make it a two day event and do like a grudge racing arm drop race sat night. This can work !!

IOWA(EARLVILLE,CEDERFALLS) ,ILLINOIS(CORDOVA,BYRON,RUTE66), WISCONSIN(UNIONGROVE), INDANA(O'REILLY RACE WAY)... JUST HAVE TO START A VOTE, AND CONTACT A TRACK. Travle wise this should make sense..... But its hard to beat the energy at Etown.

After chatting with a lot of FWD racers today it seems most would be interested in a $300 to $500 buy-in shootout with location at the annual Tulsa IFO. That would be about a $5000+ pot after the usual IFO payouts with $3500+ to the winner. We can all talk more about this at the KC race in September.
lmao, round 2 this September?

Depending on how far, I would definately like to go. As long as the details are all set and the event isnt all wishy washy at the last minute. Texas would be much more feasable for us.
Piggy backing the outlaw races on another event is the only way to do it sucessfully IMO, and I know IFO can pull it off.

Yep, Ennis and Tulsa are both fast, top notch facilities that are in the middle. I can only think of a few who would probably put up the money for this though... tony, alo, brothers, hav, mkc, 1320, who else?
I for one would love to have it at KCIR, but don't think it's big enuff for the possible turnout and to accomidate racers wanting to stay at the track for 2 days. They'd be out in the grass/dirt where nobody wants to be.
You'd be better off at a much larger venue like Ennis, Tulsa, or HPT (good luck with this one).
Something in the middle of the country is much more accomidating travel wise for the guy's in the north to make the trip, as well as out east or west. Tulsa seems like a perfect fit for this, also given the previous turnouts and ets/speeds guy's were running there during IFO events. HPT would be absolutely killer given the lineage of the track and the fact it's dead in the middle of the country, not sure if Cliff or any other promoter has ever contacted them on track rental in the past.
