So some of you may know I had a 94 EG hatch.


I've had it up for trade for awhile and found a few so called " Good Cars" that turned out to be a POS. I had almost given up hope, till I found this little gem.
It's a 1989 CRX SI. 98,356 miles. Original miles. That's right...098,356. Red paint, looks to be a re-paint by maaco or something similar. Story behind it is Parents bought it for there kid for his first car. He didn't pass his learners test so they sold it. While he had it he painted some interior pieces and buggered up the ***-end (Paint wise). Good things, Has COLD A/C, A6 that DOES NOT smoke a lick, non-rip drivers seat, no sunroof leaks, everything works. Bads are I new all new corner lights, bumper lights, tail lights, and a climate control. Other than that a few trim pieces and a new paint job. I think I did well, It drives so smooth. Handles great. I absolutely LOVE it. Here's a few pics, i'll upload more later. (Has EK seats, but I picked up a CRX drivers seat today and swapped it.)

OMG how is that a gem, ive done some stupid trades in my time but you take the cake.

 

No need for the sarcasim man. I know it looks rough, but It really isn't bad. My hatch "looks" good in that pic, but the spray paint was starting to fade pretty bad and few other things that were getting annoying. Also, I've always wanted a CRX SI. So, I still like it.

If you like it and feel as if you came out on top, then that's all that matters.

But from the pictures, it's hard to say that it's a "gem".

 

it looks fine & it has potential,the hell with wat everybody says.u wanted the car u got it alot better condition then my rex,i will admit i never heard anybody trade an eg chassis for a ed chassis,i woulda did the trade eg.wats ur plans for the car keep us updated bro

Looks don't make the car go guys. lolol. It needs far less things than my hatch was needing, and I've always wanted a CRX anyway. My EG looks good in that pic, but that is spray paint and it was showing it. starting to fade and peel. That pic was taken about a week after I painted it. Also, Pictures seem to make it look worse than it is. I've already have the interior near spotless besides the climate control. I appreciate all the view points/opinions guys. At the end of the day I like it, and I know I can make it into what I want. Thats what matters. -Later, BR

 

With a little more TLC that CRX will look great. Best of luck man.

 

With low mileage like that, I'd say it's worth saving and has major potential. Just needs to be put in the right direction.

 

make that CRX look original. quality paint and good set of wheels and it will outshine that EG. good job getting something you wanted.

 

Shoulda kept the EG.

okay i guess i cant understand alittle but if you wanted a crx you could have found one WAY cleaner than that one. you like those guys i would trade when i need to get rid of a fu*ked up car fast lol

 

This is true. However, it would have been hard to find one with under 100K. I don't mind working on these. Thats what makes it worth it. Spending days searching around junkyards, ordering your parts from fj, bisi, etc. Thats what makes it worth it. I like turning "POS" into something people go holy hell, that used to look like that!? Eh, I prefer CRX's to EG hatches any day.

 

like i said, you could have found a Way cleaner crx if you just waited. so what if its under 100k, if it was you could rebuild the motor cause your so kean on restoring a crx.
i see what happened cause i was just like you, wanting to trade my car so bad that i didnt care what is was or the condition.

 

I think thats a pretty good trade!

low mileage clean crx, thats almost imposible to find now. And it won't take to much to get it looking good.
