98 accord sputtering problems???

98 accord sputtering problems???
hey guys when i was driving my accord today it started wanting to die on me. i need some help to identify the problem here some symtoms:
check engine light, and its been flashing on and off(going to get the code off the ecu wen i get some time)
car sputters in gear, in park its doesnt want to die on me.
not plugs or wires.
anything would help and and trouble shooting advice would also be appricated.
