I have a freshly rebuilt ls motor that I'm wanting to swap into my eg hatch, but I need a transmission.....

I found a cable ls trans for dirt cheap and i was wondering if i could do a hydro to cable conversion WITH OUT buying a conversion kit.

A buddy of mine said instead of buying a kit, I could just swap out my pedal rack with one from a ef and use a clutch cable from a da integra.

Is this possible, or do I have to buy a kit? Thanks!!!

 

You can swap the pedal assembly but you'll still need custom transmission mounts (which come as part of the kit, not sure if you can buy them on their own). What year is the transmission? If its a '92 - '93 tranny (YS1) you can try to find junked B-series hydro tranny and swap the cable guts into the hydro case.
