ok...my car still wont start, i put in the new main relay. and it still sounds the same. im getting fuel,spark and the timing is perfect. could my ecu be fried?

 

Are the plug wires on right? Did you check the cap and rotor?

 

I had the same thing and I just changed the distributor and it started!

 

i got a brand new cap and rotor. but it really wants to go, but it just wont start. do u think i shuld try a new ecu?? or dizzy?

 

I had the same problem on my rex. Changed out the coil in the distributer and wallla.

 

I had the same type of problem and i replaced the rotor, coil and ignitor. Boom she started like she never had a problem.

 

couple of details please....
how did you check for fuel and spark?
is your ecu throwing any codes? does the light in the window come on at all?

 

i'm telling you bro, the coil is the only thing you have not replaced on the distributor

 

well..how u replace the coil?? and how i knew i have spark....is i pulled the spark plug out and put a spark plug in it, and turned the key, and the spark plug sparked. so...are u SURE the coil could be broken?? cause im tired of spending money on my ****

hello everyone he has spark!! therefore it is not the coil or the ignitor or the cap and rotor!

now try a different ecu....that was the problem in the last swap i did the ecu was crap....... and if that doesnt work......check and make sure all the plugs are in on the wiring harness!

 

is your headgasket blown... leaking coolent into the engine??? maybe one day u ran over a puddle of water.... maybe u bought the engine like that if u bought it used...... HYDROLOCKED come into mind??? maybe thats the reason... or maybe your battery is put on backwords??? it could be any little mistake, is everything grounded?????...try a friends ECU, maybe yours is bad and your friends ecu works buy your own... just telling u things that i have came across in the past 6 swaps....

 

hydrolocked??? whats that. well the head gasket was blown and the ******* didnt tell me that. and since i put on the head gasket, it wont start. and every EVERY thing in the engine bay is hooked up. im gonna try to re time it 1 more time. and sell if i can get that ecu. but....coud the coil be gone?? cause im getting spark but not alot my brother said. and..its turningover, it just wont start. its really starting to **** me off. thanks for your help.
