A friend of mine's Exast was acting screwy
latly. It felt like the pipe was blocked somewhere.
We took it apart and didn't find much. before we put
it back together he sprayed out the muffler with water.
Now the muffler sounds a lot less deep, do you think
this did any damage?

 

Define 'acting screwy'? And no, the muffler shouldn't be affected by water, after all, condensation often forms inside it.

 

It didn't sound as loud basiclly,
but now it seams even quieter than
it was before. (sorry I can't spell)

 

Unless it's clearly making a lot of noise, I don't think anything's wrong with it. Less noise certainly isn't a diagnosis for problems, in most cases.
