probably that he wants to wire the a/c condenser fan up to the radiator cooling fan, so that they both run when the computer tells the rad. fan to kick on. dual fans cooling the radiator.

The wiring diagram for this vehicle disagrees with you. There are two seperate relays but the command causes both of them to engage at the same time every time.

do both run when the a/c is on? if not, you may just have a bad a/c fan motor.

When the car is shut off key removed, yes only one comes on if the sensor "tells" it to. When the car is running and the temp rises or the AC is on BOTH fans should run. Actually if the AC system is working corretly, push the AC switch on, put the key to pos II (engine not running) and both fans will run as well..at least on my 86-89 and 95 work this way.

i dont know if mine is working right, but the car never gets hot. on it (91) only the left hand one runs for the radiator. the fan wont run unless they key is turned on to accessory. if the car is not running but the switch is on, the fan will run when the computer says to. but you can turn the key all the way off and the fan shuts off too.

i dont use a/c, so i dont know about it. never seen it running though.

Yea, something doesn't sound right. Again, I know how they work on 86-89 and the 95 so that is what I'm using. Also to be clear Left=Drivers side, Right=Pass side, just as you would use LHD=Left Hand Drive. Usually the fan closest to the AC compressor is called the Condensor fan (smaller in size most of the time).
I'd start with one situation before going to all the different reasons why they come on. When the engine is running and it gets warm, may take up to 20-30 minutes sitting in the driveway, both fans should cycle on. If only one is then you'll need to test why the other isn't coming on (relays, switches, fuse, elect motor, ect). One working might be enough to keep it from overheating but on a really hot day in traffic you could start to see issues. Might want to start a new thread once you've done this first test.

okay let me tell u my original plan and why i wanted to do.......and what im doing now.....

my plan was to splice the wires so both fans are more or less cooling fans the reason my engine dosnt over heat but gets extermly hot it might just be hot imo the gauge works and seldomly goes even close to half way up (the temp gauge i mean well the h/c one) but it the heat from the block is twice as hot as compared to my cousins 98 hatch back or my friend randys 99 civic coupe when ran as long as mine but im not doing that now im going to get a aftermarket radiator and 2 aem cooling fans and just remove the a/c fan and bolt it up so both run to cool the block down also going to get my hood raised (washers) and see if that works ill keep u updated pics will be up after i get the parts and time to do it

poorman the a/c fan works while the a/c is on (of course) and the other runs when the car is shutoff i made sure i sat and by my car with the hood up for 15 minutes after running it hard and only one came on which one fan isnt doing **** at all idk why yes it is operating at its full ablity but im not happy with it like i said it might just be in my head but either way 2 is better then 1
