Default Original owner of #97 of 1997 sent me some goods.

The original owner of my 97 ITR contacted me last week he was curious as to where the car was etc (I am now the 4th owner). He asked me if I would like some paper work stuff he had filed away on the car and of course I said yes. Checked the mail today and wa laa there is a priority package from the original owner jam packed with service history, brochures, receipts and the original window sticker. The R community is defiantly a cool group of people.

Were all 97's shipped/built with out AC? THe window sticker shows it was a dealer install.

The R,

I do believe 97s had ac as a option and it became standard in 98?

My R had cruise control but it's a 98. I think its all in how it was ordered. Or maybe a previous owner installed it.(I've since removed it)

Also, your R is beautiful and that was nice of the old owner to send that stuff. I wish I could get some history on my baby from the original owner.

That is really cool of the original owner to take the time to send all of that info to you. Most people probably would have tossed it in the trash if they didn't have the car anymore. Nice 97, looks good!

97-98 were an option. 00-01 were standard.

Very cool Would love to have my window sticker.

No ITR came with Cruise control from the factory. The 97/98s did not come with AC from the factory.

"Adjusted Market Value" Yeah..

You should ask him if he has any old pictures of your caR...like when it was brand new, leaving the dealer, coming off the truck, etc. Would be neat.

Cruise wasn't an option ever in the ITR line up. But I've been piecing together cruise parts for when my car is running again.

You just need a hot girl in your passenger seat as your cruise control. When you're tired, have her take over the captain's chair.

I like the wheel choice on the car, but damned if the eye isn't drawn to the colored lugnuts.

I have no idea why people think this is an attractive mod. Chrome or black is the only way to go IMO as colors ruin an otherwise nice looking wheel/tire package.

And $1000 markup on the 97's was nothing. My local dealer had a $2500 markup on them.
