95 Accord LX ?F22a?
Hey...I just bought a 95 Accord LX 2dr. White with Tan interior....Im new to all of this JDM stuff and Hondas in general.. I'm pretty sure its a 2.2L i know its a 16 Valve SOHC....thats a F22a1 motor right? I also have an automatic which isnt nearly as fun to drive.. anyone know how much interior work is involved in putting a 5-spd if i get around to doing an H22 VTEC swap?

Just need to mount a clutch pedal and throw in the stick. It's not that bad of a swap, but my personal advice is to try and track down an Accord with a stick already and save your self time and money.
Uh, no. Unless the factory engine was removed the LX accord single cam non-vtec motor of that generation is the F22B2 motor. Check the block code. right below the upper hose fitting on the cylinder heads.
For a five speed you will have to add shifter cables, the hydraulic system for the clutch, and of course the brake and clutch pedals for a manual tranny.

As crazy as some people claim the swap from auto to manual to be, I did mine in household garage, using a pair of jackstands, and heavier jack for the transmission. Did it in 31 hours total. There's an excellent write up on this site, and you shouldn't have much issue with the swap. Just have a few friends over to help, giv'em pizza and beer during the process, and you shall have your swap completed.
Nice looking rig to start off with! Welcome to the world of Honda. You have a USDM Accord, don't get too tied up on the JDM stuff, it's mostly aesthetics.
Thanks! I've wanted one since I was 16, which was 9 years ago....my sister had a 94 but traded it in instead of selling it to her baby bro lol. Anyways I really like the aesthetics of the JDM cars I've seen....They have a more mature look to them than a lime green one with a huge aluminum wing and crazy bodykit....not that some of those cars dont look pretty sweet as well, I just like the simplicity of the more stock looking JDM cars.
