b16a issues!!! ecu or wiring or wat?
i have a 91 hatch with a obd0 b16a and a pr3 ecu. ok lets start well sometimes it will run almost perfect and sometimes it will run like like crap. it will sart hesitating and sputtering but doesnt do it until after around 5000 rpms. and then when i turn my headlights on it hesitates real bad. if i hold it at a constant rpm it starts sputtering then give it a little gas and it quits....help! i have already started the buying eveything til it stops routine and its getting expensive.
The sputtering sounds like you have the o2 sensors wired backwards. Do a search about it. Very common. The hesitation with the headlights on might have to do with the alternator or battery, but it might just be a ground wire. Check ALL your grounds in the engine bay to make sure they are all tight and free of corrosion. GL

had the same problem.. wire the o2 sensors
had the same problem.. wire the o2 sensors
well i switched the 02 wires and it helped alot. no more sputtering while driving and its at a steady idle again but it idles at like 1600 rpms and wont go down. but still cant figure out the bogging while headlights are on. grounds are all good plus it still feels like it has a loss of power. help is much thanked
did you check voltage of the battary and alternater while turning one and off the load..(headlights) with the load off it should read somewhere between 13.85 - 14.50 with the load on should not drop below 13.5 if it is droping below that you need to bench test the alternater... if alternater is ok... then it might be the dreaded wiring issue
