if i dont have a ground wire from the valve cover, what damage could this do and would it mess up the timing and fuel injectors

your engine needs several grounds, these connect the componants like sensors and solenoids to hte cars electrical circut.

there are several points on hte engine for this, each point is usually for a specific set of connections and Honda has determined these for you.

the rocker cover point is one of these points.

it also has something to do with preventing electrolisis from eating the aluminium in your head and block.
