97 CR-V electric fans not running
I was stop and go in the v today for the first time (bought the v last week) and it got really hot and the fans never kicked on. This is my first cr-v i have had a couple accords but never had a problem like this. I checked the relay and all seemed well but not sure how to test them and was wondering what the mg clutch relay. I was told to unplug the sensor on the thermostat housing and the fans should turn on. I NEED HELP!!!
I sounds like you need lots of help, start with a Haynes repair manual but make sure it has a wire diagram before you buy one then write back for help after you done some research please. Check your local library and Google for a diagram.
There are several items that will prevent a fan from running. You stated "I checked the relay and all seemed well but not sure how to test them", that means you dont know how to check a relay, do you know how to jumper a relay or hotwire the fan motor for starters?
Does your AC work, if yes, do the fans come on with the AC on?

i think armed had a similar problem....
you might wanna read his posts, as for checking if your fan
is working,.. you could unplug the wires from the main harness
and directly tap it to the battery..(make a temporary wire) or
unplug the thermostat harness and make a jumper.. its like a
switch so just plug a wire and see if it turns on, make sure your
is turned on or on accessories...
if nothing happens.. you might wanna change your fans, if you've
check that your relays are still working....
g/l!
