question ordering from majestic honda
Ok so im looking at ordering pads for front and rear for my 91 rex. when you are looking at the breakdowns of the parts it shows the pad set separately of course but down below where it gives you the part number and description, there are 2 of the exact same pad sets for front and back for the description but the part numbers are different. i was wondering you someone couldnt help me out or knew if there is any difference. i would imagine not but wanted to know first. any help would be great. thanks
When I ordered a vtec solenoid gasket it gave 2 part numbers. I went with the cheaper one, it was wrong. Ordered the other one and it was correct.
Maybe put your vin on the first search part then it'll look for that specific vehicle.
I've read that the crx si has slightly different front calipers, so perhaps they take that into account.

i live 30 mins from czech republic in germany on a military post, there is no autozone and stuff, they will ship here yes but i was just looking to get oem since the pads are relatively about the same cost. duralast and raybestos pads are not bad sometimes its just easier knowing you're ordering oem i guess is all. my resources are limited here which is why im asking. calling the states isnt cheap either.
well, they ended up finally emailing me, and since i thought this information was useful, thought i'd post it. turns out they are just supersessions, meaning one of them is just an older part number but either of them will still work. Im glad i made some laughs though. enjoy the info if you want it. and yes i am kind of an OEM kind of guy, not sure why though.
yes supercede would be the correct word my bad, shipping usually isnt too bad cuz army posts are technically considered within the U.S. so usually for small stuff in a usps large flat rate box is only about 10$
OEM or bust. =]
I don't see why people trip out when you want oem parts in your car.
We just want quality.. I'm not saying aftermarket stuff isn't, I just have more confidence in OEM parts more for some reason

i would agree with that, ive have good experience with duralast stuff and what not but i would just rather prefer oem is all cuz i know its honda parts
i was just sayin..theyre brake pads. not like its a timing belt or somethin. but ppl have preferences of course. and given the OP is in germany then goin the majestic honda route would def be easier.
no...if you weren't satisfied with the csr then why didn't you request to speak to a supervisor...!!!
What for? So they can screw up my order on purpose? Or they can say the manager is not in or that THEY are the manager? That's like complaining about the waiter or cook before you get your food at a restaurant.

i be damned if a burger king check cashier is gonna push me around about what order i demand and how i want it.
so when you have a problem with someone in person or over the phone at a business you automatically bow down with your tail between your legs and refuse to go up the chain of command to get results done
