are all EF 5speed VSS cable interchangeable?

i have 88 crx and i want to use STD civic cable

Is it possible

 

vss use electronic sensor and dont use cable, you can use a speedo cable from a civic on your crx

 

cuz i have obd1 harness on my rex, and i dont have the cable on my tranny, i have the sensor on it, but the cable is not to be found, speedo ofcrs isnt working, and after i cruise for less than a mile my cel is one with code 17, if hooked the cable, it wont give me a cel right?

 

All the EF Speedo cables are the same.

What about manual or Auto?! same ?

 

They have Different part numbers.But they are the same.
