what timing belt in a y8/a6 mini me
when i did an a6/y8 i was told to use a y8 belt and it ended up being a tad loose for some reason. i then later read that the d15b7 belt was the correct one but i never tried it out.
this is worng infomation, but when i did this i used a6 belt kinda loose but never a problem, the a6 it has a 107 teeth the z6 y8 belt has 104 teeth, a6 belt will be a bit loose and better off using the vtec belt form a z6/y8
alright i will just do some testing then, cause i know on b series you use the timing belt that matches the water pump.
thanks to d-series.org

I forgot to say in my PM
with an a6 bvlock, using a Y8 tensioner and head, you use y8 belt
d15b7/d16a6 tensioners are larger like stated above, and will effect belt choice

Any new udates on this? Not trying to thread jack but I'll be running a Y7 head on a A6 block. I just got a new A6 tensioner for it to but it looks like I need a Y8/7 tensioner. Or does anyone know which belt to use with the A6 tensioner? Please let me know what you figure out.
