My f22a1 motor started making a knocking noise the other day...I am not for sure why...any thoughts on the matter? I think that it could be something to do with the valves or the rocker arms, but not sure. You can hardly hear the knock at idle but gets louder the higher RPM you go.

 

any engine code? checked the fluids? were you running it hard right before the knock started? does it drive normally? what year is the car?
