I screwed up, need help BAD. ASAP. Please!
I was changing the valve cover gasket on my girlfreind's D15B2 and I had everything down to the last valve cover crown nut, one with the big grommet near the cam gear. I was torquing it down with a Craftsman tq wrench and the bolt BROKE OFF in the crown nut! Now the valve cover is only held on with 3 of the 4 nuts!!! I put some HondaBond on top of the grommet to seal it from leaking and drove it around and no leaks and no missing or anything. BUT I don't know what to do about this.
Also, when I was trying to take off the crown nut on the left rear, the nut wouldn't come off the bolt and the whole bolt came out from the head. I don't know what was up with that.
Please help, as this isn't my car and I don't know what to do. Can I take the valve cover off and get another bolt and get the old one out with some channel locks?

Easy fix.
Go get another valve cover stud and replace the one you broke. They are easily removable with a deep-well socket once the valve cover is off.
As I'm sure you're aware now, do not overtighten the valve cover nuts. The stud diameter is very small and they shear easily. They should only be torqued to 7 lb-ft. Use a 1/4" ratchet.

you risk it leaking over along period of time, but if you used some honda-bond to seal the VC gasket down youll be ok till you can get a replacement bolt. just expect some leaking.
Are all of the valve cover bolts the same as the number 10 in this pic? I'm gonna order one to replace the one I broke, but there was a crown nut seized to another so when trying to take the nut off, the whole dame thing came out.
The two front studs are longer than the two rear studs. The rear studs are the ones indicated by #10 in the diagram, part no. 90013-PM3-000. The front studs are not shown in that diagram, but they are part no. 90014-PM3-000.

Thanks! I ended up finding the smaller one by searching under "cylinder head" rather than cylinder head cover (not sure why they would break em up =/) .
I went and ordered all three things I need. Ordered the broken one and a new smaller one and crown nut since they are seized up. Came to $14.03 after tax and will be in tomorrow.
Now I need to find a deep enough socket to get the broken one out, or see if a 12mm ratcheting wrench will work.
The torque wrench I used was a Craftsman 1/2 inch I believe.
1/2" is huge. Don't worry, I've seen it happen a lot. At least it wasn't cam cap bolts you sheared. I've seen that a few times too.
i did this to mine too. over tightened it and now its broke off in one of the nuts with the rest of the threads in the head. i didnt know you could replace these. glad you posted this im going to try and fix mine now. i bet a lot of people do this
I got it taken care of. Ran into more trouble, but it's all together now. However I didn't use a torque wrench to tighten them as look at my Craftsman, the lowest it would go is 10 ft. lbs.
I though I had it lower than that.
