I have replaced my passenger side axle In my bseries trans held fine up till a week later, I pulled the axle back off to see the seal was pushed in a little on the bottom I pulled it of ordered a new one for a 94 desol filled it back up with MTF and lsd additive called "ford modifier" held good for about a day came out to my car for work to see a puddle under my car sure enough it was MTF, I Just ordered a new axle for a 91 integra and a seal from a integra, my previous axle was from a 94 desol with abs on it. i have some pictures of it the bottom surface looks like its protruding a little bit but not too sure. sounds like your on the right track. you want to run DA axles with a DA intermediate shaft in ef chassis. are you using a seal puller to replace the axle seal? why is the lip of the opening so chewed up ?

 

Lip was chewed up from previous owner. that's what I'm thinking is causing it to leak. I'm using my seal press kit to replace the seal too make sure it sits flesh with the trans.

 

Do you have any play in the diff,ie can you move the diff up and down at all?
Bad diff bearings wil cause the seals to leak.

 

yea thats a bitch if the lip of the axle hole is chewed i doubt its going to seal at all.

also that bearing looks beat on the diff man.

 

thanks guys for the input, I finally got it fixed for some reason the axle i got would not seal so it was leaking from the axle going into the seal into the trans, still dont know why two axles i tried wouldn't seal it, ended up getting a Honda axle instead of a auto zone axle, but the problem is fixed thanks again for all the help.
