Default Want the "flush" look, are my wheels too big?

Hey guys, came across what i thought was a good deal so i jumped on it. Got some Rays Gram Lights Pro 57 18x9 front and 18x10 rears w/ 40mm offset. My goal is to get the "flush" look. AP1 with BC coils, SPC adjustable ball joint, and fenders are rolled in the rear. Are these wheels just too big for my car?? After doing some research it looks like if they were like 65mm it would work much better ....... This might be crazy but is there anyway (IF the wheels just absolutely wont work) to take them to a fabricating machine shop and get them to make the offset a bit bigger? Thanks

Don't know if you can modify the wheels, but they are way the f too wide and way to low of an offset. There gonna stick out in the rear about 2 inches!

You'll be hitting the fenderwells constantly. Rolling the fenders will not fix this. You need to do bodywork to flare. Then, it'll still look ghetto and the handling will be much worse. My advice, get rid of the wheels. There are only a few wheels out there with proper offset.

Check out 949racings web site. Also, got to these other forums: www.s2ki.com and www.s2000.com

you can't modify the offset you would have to cut the rim and add or remove metal and weld it back.

Didn't do too much reading before that purchase huh?

17x8 +35, 17x9 +38 on my Regas rubs the fenders with S-techs for the drop...and are flush.

Adding another inch in all directions would be madness (not in a good way) You're better off selling those.

I personally would not have gone with your sizing, but those can definitely be pulled off, look over at the low offset thread theres people in there with even more aggressive fitments, I'm sure someone in there can help you out. Good luck.
