Default If You Have A Boosted EF W/ Full-Race Radiator Chime In

I am just curious how you boosted ef people are doing heat wise with your full race radiators? i have one and i read a post in the forced induction forum a guy had a very similar set up in a crx just like mine but was having cooling problems he was using a slim fan that came with his full race turbo kit, i have a slim fan that came with my peakboost turbo kit, so im assuming its junk as well.. his problem was fixed with a SPAL fan, im thinking about buying one, i found a site that sells the exact one that fixed his overheating problem for 99.95.. but yea if you got one how is your temp gauge doing, and if you have had problems what kind of fans are you running? and what other things are you doing to help cool the engine?

I used a cheap no name fan of undetermined age my brother had laying around when I first put my F/R bar and radiator in my hatch. No issues at all until the fan went **** up,I bought a FAL fan and no problems since.

I have the Full-Race half radiator in my drag crx. Temps can hit 200+ on hot days after a hard pass. I use a cheap, slim fan, that does work ok, but probably not as well as a SPAL. However, from what I used previously, the Full-Race radiator has worked the best. It also doesn't help to have a 3" thick intercooler blocking airflow to the intercooler either.

yea thats exactly what im talking about .. the intercooler infront of it. im talking about the half size radiator that is a mini mi eg sized.. its really small.. alot of ppl have problems.. i have a slimfan that came with my peakboost kit, and i think i might as well just get the SPAL fan ahead of time because im sure its going to have problems.. some ppl are lucky, but i want to be POSITIVE i dont have any problems

The one I have is the half sized but its not slim you should get the oversized/race half radiator it will keep you cooler because of the bigger hose size.
