Default 2002 F4i, 715 miles, $6100...good deal?

I am thinking yes. Bike is in great shape, it was barely ridden.

Thanks for your opinions.

Figment mentioned I may want to expand more on why I want this bike.

Basically I have liked the CBRs since I was real little. I would love to have the 954 RR or the new 600 RR when it comes out, but I am not that confident in my skills. I do have riding experience, but not enough to go jump on one of those.

I am primarily looking at the 600 sport bikes with the SV650S as another option. I am manily a weekend, weeknight rider. I need my car to lug stuff around, but I also like getting out and riding just for the hell of it.

I doubt the bike will ever see either the highway or the racetrack, but you never know. I may get ambitious one year and head to mid Ohio or Daytona for bike week.

What lured me to this particular bike is it is the color I like. Red/silver. It only has 715 miles. AND I think it is cheap! BUT, I could be wrong.

Anything in particular to look for? It hasn't been dropped. It had it's service done. Any other opinions?

Yes, that's a good deal.

I've got one of each of those 2 bikes, a 2002 F4i and 2002 SV650S, both silver.

You can get an SVS for a bit less than an F4i, that's for sure.

Anyway, both EXCELLENT bikes. Unfortunately I need to sell my SVS...recent lack of work...ugh.

Want to buy mine?

Bought it today. $6,100 + tax.

Had him throw in the first maintence free of charge.

I also got a new helmet (arai quantum F), leather jacket (Joe Rocket) and gloves (Alpine Star) for $500.

I pick it up on Friday. I am so excited.

I just got back from a ride too... my palms are sore as a &!*%$. I'm thinking its b/c I don't tuck in nearly as often as everyone else. I just feel weird tucked in doing like 35 behind traffic Maybe some clipons for a more lateral riding position. Either that or I need a bigger belly to rest on the tank. Glad you're enjoying yourself 2kteg. I don't know how many miles you have put on today but I would take a new bike as a chance to break in the thing the right way and not the manufacturer's baby way.

It is raining, so only about 10 miles. It is better that way though. I gotta get used to it before I go for the long haul. I got a little stomach cramp cause I am not used to sitting like that. I rode it off though
