Default cleaning valve covers

hey guys i have a jdm red valve cover and its a little dirty. i was wondering if there was a trick to cleaning krinkle paint. i tried a little soap and water and it faded a little. any suggestion would be great. thanks

i used simple green and some elbow grease. came out looking really good.

Agreed. A good dishsoap works well too. Make sure it's completely dry before reinstalling, especially on the underside. Fine sandpaper on a metal block can remove corrosion from the lettering without damaging the color if used carefully.
