ok so i bought a pair of the k6 led aftermarket power mirrors for my '01 off of good ol ebay...wondering if someone could help me out with what wires are for what function. and not just with the mirror wires but the stock turn signal wires as well as the tail light wiring. cause im not sure if i want to run the wire from the new mirrors to the front lights or rear, as i've read a few posts where ppl said it was easier just to run them to the back and splice into those wires. any help is much appreciated as im hoping to do this tomorrow. thanks.

You can splice the wires to either front or rear turn signals, you should only have 2 "new" wires from each mirror, this is actually something very easy to be done, although most folks over here wouldn't recommend you doing. Your OEM mirrors are probably much better quality..

 

haha yea trust me im not sure about them either. i wont have a real opinion until i get them on the car and see how they look. i just finished paint matching them to my car and now im gonna work on wiring them. and i decided im going to have to run them to the front signal since they have two led's, one wire for parking light and one for turn signal. the wires coming from the new mirror are not my concern since they came with a diagram that states what the wires are. i just need to know which wire from the turn signal is for parking light and which is for turn. i could figure it out thru trial and error i suppose but i wanted to see if someone cld help me make it less difficult.

and also, what is the easiest way to get to the stock wires in the engine bay? i should'nt have too take of my bumper right? isn't there a way to splice into the wires beneath the steering wheel since they run to those same lights neways?
