I have a 96 dx just got a set of passwordjdm square fog lights, now I have looked online to find out how to install them, aand I pretty much have that down. My question is there seems to be a extra wire that was included in the box and I really have no clue as to where it goes.

It does come with instructions and it lists everything that comes with the kit, but there is nothing about that extra red wire.

If you guys want me to post picks, I will.

 

Have you tried turning them on yet?

 

I have the same fogs, and if my memory serves me, the red wire is what connects them to the power source (aka battery). I put it under the bolt in the fuse box where the positive lead goes.

Ok guys so i got them to work, then when i was putting everything back together they wouldnt turn on anymore..due to the fact that it is dark and there is a **** load of mosquitos do you guys have any idea what the problem could be?

haha try putting them in a 99-00... what a pain..... cutting the bumper

 

leave it and do it tomorrow before you get too ichy

 

damn rite.. just had that install couple days ago.. i got fustrated about the BROWN 1 pin connector... something about blue tape ****.. end up to be the fuse box..

 

i had did had a little problem like that at first.. took me 5 min. to find out.. i didnt turn on my headlight...

 

^ try that check then fuse and make sure the fogs are connected right turn on ur headlights then press the fog switch

 

thanks fguys I will try and see if that works.. I find it strange that they wont turn on after I started to put everything back together. I am going to check the ground wire for the engine bay, and I was also wondering if a bad battery can cause this to happen.?
