!*Intake Air Temp Sensor Location*!
Hey i bought a d16 intake manifold off of a buddy and i cant seem to find my IAT Sensor anywhere the casting number on the back of the mani is P06 HF2 could i possibly have a different intake manifold? If so where is this sensor and what should i do? Thanks
I can get a pic possibly later the block is a d15b2 and the head is supposed to be a d16a6 but im not 100% because the intake manifold that came with it doesn't seem like one off of a d16a6 it doesn't have the pgm-fi stamp on it. All of the sensors from the harness work accept for the IAS. My car is a 1990 Crx dx.
what i'm reading says it's mounted horizontally on the intake manifold, however, i can't seem to find a pic anywhere of the stupid thing actually there. so i guess if worse comes to worse you can always mount it in your intake pipe and call it a day.
Are you boosting that engine, why do you have a fuel rail on there?
Older intake manifolds have them on one of the runners, the newer manifolds had them in the intake tube before the throttle body, which you would have to modify because the crx/civic was not setup that way

Yea i am in the process of installing the turbo. When i got the intake manifold it had a stock fuel rail on it so i just got the golden eagle rail and put it on. Im very confused on what i should do. i dont even see any sort of Air Temp Sensor so i cant just run it into the piping if the sensor is not there only the female connector is attached to the harness.
well the location i would check is the front of the intake manifold on cly 1 or two it white.
cant see it in you pic, and also i know the jdm ones have them on the back of the intake
manifold.

Is that an Pre OBD intake mani? A.K.A 88-91 crx/civic si mani. If it is, it should be on the side of the intake manifold runner nearest the cam gear. It's near the flange.
Atleast I think that's the IAT sensor

on this model intake manifold the location of the IAT sensor is actually located on the backside of the manifold facing towards the firewall on cylinder 1. normally its located on the front side sitting just behind the fuel rail, but on this one its on the other side of the manifold.
99% of usdm ones have it there before 96!!
I'm not quite sure what mani it is in was told a 1.6a6 but it doesn't look like it to me. I will look when I get home for the sensor. I know its not on the top of the intake runners next to the cam.
I FOUND IT! wow i feel like a jackass it was on the very back of the intake mani and my wire harness was covering it... now i just gotta figure a way out to there the connector will reach the sensor.
