i just finished my 88 crx hf with a b16 swamp the thing is im having problems i think it might be my tranny? the car has the half shaft of a 99 civic si but the axels are from a 91 acura integra ls no abs what could be wrong its making a noise when i turn my wheels only and let go out of my clutch i have a stage 2 exeddy clutch and plate but my tranny is an b16 y1 what could it be the noise im hearing when i turn and try to go on a turn and let go out of the clutch? pls help any help really appreciated

 

it is not possible, without modification, to use a 99 civic intermediate shaft with 90-93 axles.
did you use si/dx knuckles?

what does the noise sound like?

 

yeah i did change the spindle hub to dx and well yeah im using a 99-00 civic si half shaft. the noise souds loud pop when i turn either left or right and while turning let out the clutch slowly and pop the clutch too. so could it be my tranny that the inside something is bad. cuz it pop like somethins is loose like the axels pop when turn. and i am securing they are fiting right and well that everything is tight. its funny cuz it only on turns when foward or backward it doesnt pop

 

Ok.
use the right halfshaft and axles. all from 90-93. the inner driver side axle is different than the newer ones i think. the way it splines into the half shaft, i had this problem and had to get the right axles. but get all the right stuff and check your trans where the splines are and make sure no problems exist there as well, or get alll newer axles if u swapped hubs, either way u cant mix match them, like 99-00 passenger and intermediate shaft with DA driver axle. not that i know of.

 

ok yes i have switched the passanger side axel to a Da 91 no abs axel. so what ur saying is to change the half shaft from a 99-00 civic si that i have to a Da one 90-93 one and also the axel on the driver side too. and that could be the problem also they told me to check inside the tranny for a pin or something inside it or it could be that my differential might be welded so it be lsd ???

 

there's no way you can have a welded diff on a fwd unless you race straights all the time. also there's no way your running a 99-00 halfshaft with 90-93 integra axle.
