i have a 95 ex coupe with a very nice gsr swap,gsr trans,p72 obd1 ecu.This car runs great idles perfect uses no oil between changes.New timming belt,valves adjusted,new fuel filter.
Only problem is fuel cutoff hits at 7100.
Anyone know why?Motor is stock secondaries are wired everything works perfect except can't reach true redline.

ecu is virgin p72.Do u think stock fuel pump?

 

I don't think it has anything to do with the fuel pump. It's your ecu.

 

isn't stock p72 ecu fuel cutoff more like 8200?

 

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I'm having the same issue; did anyone ever get this figured out?

 

 

No we didn't,car still runs perfect,went a 15.3 93mph with stock p72 ecu.
Car wieghs 2550 with my 16 year old son in it and motor is all stock,had a different ecu chipped p28
that came with car when we bought it,it ran 14.9 96mph with chipped ecu.
Daily driving it it runs much smoother with stock ecu but the chipped one is
noticably stonger on top end.
Car will rev higher with chipped ecu but i think stock tach is off at high rpm.
