Well, with my luck, something always happens.... After doing a partial tune-up (Cap/Rotor, Plugs/Wires, Brakes, Shocks) yesterday my car decides to act fine for a day and than screw up today. It's manual, of course.

As I start it, the starter will either grind before the car starts, or as it starts it'll thunk... Not sure how to explain it really. Any ideas?

 

Maybe a bad starter motor or bad teeth on the starter gear or flywheel. Post a video with sound.

After the engine starts, does it run fine?

 

Yeah, after it starts, it is perfectly fine. I'm just not sure why it decided to just start heh.
