i have some OEM floormats that are decent condition and just one hole is where drivers heel wore through, and the carpet is just a little faded and stuff.
i was wanting to see if its possible to buy new good quality carpet (like in sheets), and trace the shape of the old floormats and sew them really tight on to the top of the old floormats making them nice and new looking?,
and maybe sew a pad where the heel digs in on drivers side?
i know people are going to say "just buy new floormats", but i've got new ones at pepboys but they were'nt the same shape as the OEM, the OEM ones fit perfect for the car and i can't afford new OEM floormats, i just figured it might be cheaper also cutting carpet & getting it sewed over them.
any tips, ideas, opinions ?? thnkx
