How to change headlight bulbs on 2010 Honda Accord Sedan
I am new to the Honda family with my purchase of a new 2010 Honda Accord EX-L sedan. I was looking to upgrade the headlights to full HID (8000K) for low/high beams. From the research I have conducted it seems like the whole bumper must come off. Is this a complex as it sounds? Any photos to share to facilitate this?
Thanks all.
Thanks all.
the bumper is EASY to remove... there are about four screws(2 per side on the coupe) and the rest of the connectors are snaps/tabs.
I am uploading a video for your enjoyment.
This is a procedure for another installation, but it does cover bumper removal.

Thanks MSchu. Are these screws are easy to access? Do you know how many clips there are (maybe if there are any that are easy to forget so as not to damage them).
I look forward to your video post.

Also .. for anyone that is interested. I recently bought some HIDs for my Jeep Grand Cherokee and stumbled across (a guy at the local auto parts store recommended it to me) this website for inexpensive, high quality HIDs: www.ddmtuning.com.
The kits are legitimate HIDs (great color and true, full HID conversion kits). They start at $40 (yes you read that correctly). They include slim ballasts. They are super easy to plug in (removing the screws to the headlight assembly took longer). The 35W kits will give you the true color you are looking for. 55W sometimes washes out the color by a color grade or two. The 35W are more than bright enough. With two day delivery I paid slightly less than $54. They have lifetime warranties. Made is USA. Without shipping they are the same amount as Sylvania Silver Star halogens!! I have had them in about one week so far so I can attest to long term durability at this point. I will post pictures soon.
I have bought other HIDs (from Japan) before from www.xtralights.com in the past for quite a bit more money ($299) and you still have to splice the wires (back in 2006) for the plugs.

I don't know if you already did this, but i was looking through the owner's manual and they show you an easier way to change the bulb. which i assume would be an easier way to install an H.I.D. Kit. Here it is:

i also recommend the DDMTuning Kit, i've bought about 4 kits for different cars so far and i plan on buying another kit for my accord, i can't decide on whether i want the 35W or 55W. I know that with the projector housing 35W kits are more than bright enough, but how does it look with the stock accord housing? i heard that it scatters the light more so it wont be as bright. have any of you installed your H.I.D.s on your accord yet? if so, are you using the 35W kit and how bright is it?
