Default need help on 91 hatch with jdm b16a swap

i have a 91 civic hatch dx with 91 crx hf engine and underdash harness. it has a obd0 jdm b16a swap. i had the car running, i was driving down the road and it just shut off on me. couldn't start it back up. no fire at all. idk what the problem is. so i thought it was the starter and the alternator, so i changed both, now it just clicks at the starter, but wont start. i try to hit the starter while starting, but nothing happens, just still clicks at the starter. it has fuel because the fuel pump primes, has a good battery, the main relay clicks when trying to start. ecu light turns on when trying to start too. idk what to look for now. anyone with any suggestions, please help me get my hatch running again. thanks.

Just for future reference dont pound on your starter when trying to get it to start. It's a PM starter and you will/can crack the magnets and screw your brand new starter

Well something similar happened to me (clickin when trying to start) and it was the rotor in the dist. had sezied up and wasnt spinning, so I would pull of your dist. cap and at least look at that. If not its probably a grounding issue or blown fuse??

I know for sure its the Igniter or the Ignition coil in the distributor. This happened to me a while back.

neither the starter or alternator would cause the car to just die like.. poof. starter STARTS the car. you were already driving then the car died. alternator would cause the car to start losing power(dimming lights, sluggish driving). then itll die out as you run outta juice. sounds to me its def a ground issue with it not turning over now. possibly a wire loose from the starter change. as stated check your igniter/coil. also look at the dizzy cap and the rotor inside. that damn lil screw flies out more often than you think
