Default 1990 Honda Accord Tranny shifting issues

Hi guys,

First post and I am having some lovely issues my um "new" honda i just bought.

Basically when you go to give it gas it revs up but when it comes to shifting if feels like its shifting funny like its burst of speed once it shifts. I am not getting any check engine or blinky s lights but when we went to take it out tonight i decided the push in the little sport button kinda like "hey what does this do???" Well when I did that it would not shift up for the life of it and it was feeling like the engine was gonna die so I pulled it over put it in part shut if off completely and depressed the sport button. When I started it seems to have gone back to normal but it still feels like it is having trouble shifting into the next gear like it has to really kinda rev up then it shifts and its a bit of a noticeable boost it gives once it shifts. Any idea what this could mean. I just paid 850 for it like less then 3 days ago and this is the first time we have taken it out since we brought it home. Any ideas help suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like flair up and the transmission is slipping. You could try a flush but its most likely the trans is just beat, time for a new one.

on my first 91 cb7 f22a6 automatic the "s" or"sport" but even though the light isnt on the sport shift mode could still be on when the tcu solenoids leak it will casue it turn on and it may not display the light take the ground of ur battery for around 15 minutes then put it back on then drive a few miles then if its still doing it..it might be the tcu or low fluid
