Just adding the lowering springs to your stock struts is a bad idea. buy the springs and then start saving for new struts. The stock struts may bottom out and will wear out within a couple of months. I did that with my first lowered car and I ended up doing twice as much work when I was bouncing all over the road lowered with blown struts.

Buy the springs now and put them in the closet till you can get some new adjustable struts.

If his stock struts are new tho-he won't have that problem with his car..if not, then he needs to go with New Struts...

It's normally said a stock shock can handle a 1inch drop as long as the spring rates are close to stock.

Op, is your car a dd, how much money do you have?
Also he doesnt need adjustable shocks, skunk2 makes a pretty good shock that will work just fine.

I woul suggest either Skunk2 or Tein Stechs springs on tokico blues for DD they give you a good drop and absorb the bumps quite nicely.
