Default Trunk Springs

Just installed my CF Trunk. Everything great, except....

The springs that push the trunk up are too powerful, what is the easiest way to take them off? They are on their tight and have so much tension!

Any tips and tricks?

I would check a hardware store for springs that look similar then the OEM ones that arnt as stiff or springy.

I'm pretty sure the hardware store won't have anything that looks like those spring rods.

Camoy thanks for the offer, my buddy that works at honda is willing to lend me it after work today.
