doing a swap need help with jumper harness'
i feel like an idiot asking this but me and a friend are doing a b18b1 swap in my 89 ef and im confused about the obd1, obd2, jumper harness stuff.
? 1: does the jumper go from the body harness to the ecu or from the engine harness to the ecu?
? 2: and if the body harness is obd1 and the LS engine obd2 do you need a jumper harness from the body to the engine harness?
? 3: or do i just have to get a obd1 engine harness that connects to the obd1 body and then have the jumper to the obd2 P75?
im missing a link here please help :/

if the body harness is obd1 then you have to get a obd1 engine harness and obd1 dizzy(i believe)
the jumper harness plugs into the ecu plugs then plugs into the ecu but if your car is obd1 its not needed
the jumper harness plugs into the ecu plugs then plugs into the ecu but if your car is obd1 its not needed
i don't see this ending well lol. the obd1 body harness won't match any of the plugs on the stock dash. and if you run the obd2 ecu you will need all the extra evap equipment that goes along with it.
make it easy on your self. GET an OBD0 complete mpfi body and engine harness, an obd0 PR4 and an obd0 LS distributor. it will all plug n play, you will not need to convert anything. but you will have to swap the fan switch plug (2 loose wires on an obd0 mpfi harness with big boot) to the new location on the thermostat housing (any round 2 wire plug will work).

seriously, just do this. if it is IMPOSSIBLE to find an si body and engine harness, then just convert your car to mpfi, then use obd-0 parts.
if you are dead set on using obd-1 parts, then just purchase an obd0 to obd1 conversion harness with obd-0 to obd1 dizzy jumper harnesses. i bought mine off of ebay w/o the dizzy adapters for like 70 plus shipping. works great, zero problems. you can find them there or at hasport for decent pricing.

so i run obd0 mpfi body harness and engine harness then if i want to run boost later on i purchase a jumper and run a tune obd1 ecu like p28 or something this way everything will match up to the cabin because obd0 is what the car is originally and jumping it later will be no problem.
now will everything be ok running obd0 on what was an obd2 ls motor?
you're confused because you are trying to make a headache of this swap. just reading your first post made my head hurt.
My motor is from a 90 Integra, it was obd-0, since my car is an EX, it was drop in, plug & play. I recently converted to obd-1 electronics, and am now using an obd-1 pr4 ecu from the 92-93 Integra. Still using the obd-0 engine electronics as well as the obd-0 harness, only thing I changed was the distributor wiring, and made a sub harness for the 4 wire o2 sensor.
There is a much easier way of going about the swap, but I don't understand wth you are trying to do, but it sounds like a major headache to me. If you are in Cali, and trying to legalize the motor, I'd recommend trading your motor for an obd-0 or obd-1 motor, and do the swap to legalize it. If not, and you can give 2 ***** about being legal, then just run it obd-1 on a pr4 or p73 and run obd-0 or obd-1 injectors. All depends on which route you want/decide to go.

^^^^you mean P75.
But yes, just convert it to a stock si version of your car (wiring wise) plug it in and go from there. It's always better to start from scratch than trying to fix someone elses hack job mistakes.

But if you wanna save your money just convert your harness right now to multi-port.
Buy a OBD1 distributor and OBD1 ECU (anything 92 or up integra LS GS RS)
The JUMPER harness you have to buy or need is OBD0 to OBD1(this is not your harness of under the hood) This harness connects to where your ECU Plugs in.
You will also need to convert your distributor plug to OBD1 and swap wires around (I think) to OBD1.
HOPE this helps.

HOPE this helps. With this kit you will need all OBD0 connetors and there is a adapter for the distibutor so it's plug and play.
Just Like what Clipsed was saying.
