A rainy weekend in Englishtown, NJ was host to the HIN/NOPI car show this past weekend. At the shows end, car show participants were upset, and for a very good reason, because the NOPI-HIN staff tells them they will not be annoucing winners and they will just mail home the trophies. Really?!? With years of experience throwing events you figure this would not happen. Well the participants have spoken and the following videos says it all. Not a good start to a car show series when the country is craving quality events

Damn, what was the problem? Definitely not the NOPI I was used to racing with back in the day. They always did awards, regardless, and always paid on the spot. Now contingency stuff took awhile to get, but that was out of their hands.

This type of stuff seriously pisses me off, just makes it harder for the legit event promoters. There are two tracks we have not been able to book because according to track management, "another Import event is just not worth the risk".

we had an issue in KC with HIN a few years back. Usaci coupled with them to rent out bartle hall, and when it came time to pay for the event well lets just say a gun was involved with getting some money if I recall correctly.
This is the exact reason alot of people look down on good orginizations if you have a basket full of apples it only takes 1 to make the whole basket not get touched

they dont want to announce winners on the spot because they want to wait and send EVERYONE a letter in the mail saying someone else won when really nobody won and they just keeping all the $$ since they didnt make **** that day.

for what its worth back in 02 i took second place at import survival series at etown, they were so behind, i didnt even know i won.
i got home from work on a tuesday to a second place trophy ups'd to my house.
