Just a question for you guys, I've had my car for 4 years now and I'm looking at touching/re-doing some things on the car.
I painted my calipers red shortly aftre i bought the car and now it's chipping and faded. Should i re-do it and leave them red, or just strip it all off and go back to the way they were?

 

i'd take them off, sand it down, paint them black

paint them black or silver similar to the stock color....but i like black

If you really want them colored, have them powdercoated.

 

red calipers belong on porsche 911s, and thats about it, in my opinion of course

 

If I was goingt to paint my calipers, I'd paint them black.

so does power coating the calipers or using engine temp paint on them reduce their ability to dissipate heat?

Red looks good on brembo's but not our stock brakes. Cadnium look is better imho

 

Just use cast gray paint. looks clean and simple. BlueR saw mine, ask him what he thinks (Marc if you want to flame its fine)
