96 ek hatch help!
So the check engine light keeps comming on! Saying its a misfire in cylinder 1 and 3 and a random misfire. And the oxygen sensor and the catalyst monitor say incomplete. Any sugestions? And if I want to lower my car I need gas shocks? Lowering springs? And lower control arms right? Or can I leave the stock control arms? If I missed anything else please let me know!
i'm not certain on the CEL, but im sure RonJ@HT will come around and be able to assist you with finding the problem. He is very knowledgeable about CEL's and lots of other problems
as far as lowering the car, you only need lowering springs or coilovers......like stated time and time again on here lower control arms are for fashion only, they serve no other purpose other than that, well unless you bushings are completely gone.
front upper control arms and the rear upper adjustable links are nice to have for adjusting camber to control tire wear but are not necessary

Some will even argue that adjusting your camber is pointless too.
And RonJ@HT is the CEL master, he helped me out on an idling issue and I didn't even have a CEL!
Make sure to give him props if he finds you a solution.

thats what i figured on the control arms in the back since they are for show i could just take my stock ones ff and you know sand take off the stuff on it to metal and paint it right?
you could but personally I wouldn't and I'm sure most people will agree that would be a ricer trait painting stock control arms
buy a set of blox lcas, they look decent, come in a variety of colors and have provisions to bolt up an aftermarket rear swaybar and they are cheap, like 80 bucks i think
plus it'll save you the time and aggravation of stripping and painting stock ones and the embarrassment
