Car: 99 Honda Civic Ex Auto Sedan.

I installed a 96-98 d16y8 engine in the car. The 96-98 cylinder head does not have an "air assist" cut-out in the head and I'm using the original 99 d16y8 intake manifold because I don't have a 96-98 d16y8 intake manifold.

The car has a substantial vacuum leak from the top of the intake manifold where it meets the head. Have any of you successfully installed a 99-00 d16y8 im with air assist on a 96-98 d16y8 head with no vacuum leaks?
