wierd problem
Last year when i went to the track i ran a 14.5 with street tires (215/15/55 kumho 712) @ 96-97 mph. I had 60 ft times of 2.6-2.7.
this year when i went to the track i did not do any other modifications to the car. This time i put on slicks to try and lower my 60 ft times. (not sure about the size of the slicks, they were my friends) got the 60 ft tiem down to 2.0-2.1...not great but better than 2.6-2.7. started at 15 psi and ran somewhere in the 15's. kept on bumping up the tire pressure and I hit 14.4 @ 94 mph with 25 psi. I thouhgt i would be hitting low 14's with the slick but instead i ran the same times as i did with street tires. any ideas here?

Somewhere your losing power. If you've been running the same setup for a year then maybe the rings are starting to wear or something. But could be as simple as the temp at the track vs. last year when you ran. I would check normal tune up items like plugs and wires. I wouldn't know what else it could be.
