Im looking to have a exaust made for my 2000 si. 3' from the turbo back. was just curious about how much it will cost. Everything. Downpipe, flanges and all. I have a muffler already though. Let me know thanks.

 

Well, I had a guy that quoted me $300 but that was from the downpipe back, now he's saying more like $500 for the WHOLE exhaust system from the turbo back. Man, that sucks ***! Oh, well I might be looking around for someone else soon. then I'll let you know. Hope this helps.

was that including a muffler? I wanna keep the one i have now. Its very quiet

 

unless the muffler you have now is 3" you are gonna have to bend the pipe in to fit the muffler and that defeats the purpose of having a 3" exhaust if you bottleneck it at the muffler.

Ok let me ask this then....how much of a restriction is a apexi WS exaust? 2.38 inches from the test pipe back.

 

a BIG restriction. you're making the exhaust smaller by half an inch!!!

3" Aluminized mandrel bends
Carsound 3" cat
Dynomax 3" bullet muffler -for resonator, 16.5" long
Magnaflow 3" Race Series muffler

 

thats about right, i would charge someone about $700.00 for a TIG welded mandrel bent 304 ss exhaust system from the turbo back.

Is your muffler 3 Inches? Whats the point of getting 3 inch piping if your muffler is the bottle neck?

 

Ehhhhhh....somewhat quiet. I just put the resonator on, and it didn't do a whole lot. Here's what they are for those interested:

I'll say this....it's kind of noisy as is except when you are spooling. It's quiet, sounds almost like a toned down crotch rocket. Now that I routed the WG into the exhaust it's just unbelievable. I just cannot stress enough how nice it is like that.

 

I paid $206 for all the piping and dynomax resonator (that bitch is huge) shipped from paul_vangs GB a little while back.

$80 shipped for a carsound 3" cat.
$151 shipped for a magnaflow 3" in 4" out 4" tip muffler

So all together $437.... but I have a feeling my muffler shop is going to RAPE ME IN THE *** for installation of this all as nothings welded or anything, it all had to be put together 02 bung, hangers, flanges and all.
