i got an 06 Si with about 41k miles on it and whenever I get on it in 1st gear and go to shift into second at around 8k it grinds the hell outta 2nd and wont go in for nothing. do you guys have this problem? and if so what can be causing this and how can you fix it.

 

Its a poorly designed clutch master cylinder. You can either buy an omni power master clutch cylinder or adjust your clutch. You can search this in google and should pull up information on it.

Just remember to go clockwise to open the adjuster nut and turn the rod in the same direction to loosen that nut and turn it by hand a half turn and then drive and see if it helps. Keep adjusting till its gone.

Also dont grind it anymore , you will find yourself with a toasted 2nd gear.

thanks for the help man I'm going to have to look into that. and yeah i dont think im gonna get on it until i get this fixed im not trying to buy a new gear.
